Brief Biography:

Hashem Mortazavi (GSM’12) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (Hons.) in electrical engineering from Ferdowsi University Mashhad, Iran, in 1998 and 2001, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Quebec University (École de technologie supérieure), Montreal, QC, Canada, in 2016. He is currently a Chief Executive Officer at Khorasan Electric Generation Company. His research interests are smart grid, renewable energy integration, and generation protection coordination.
